  1. Before you arrive

    Paperwork, done at home

    Before your visit, you will receive an email with instructions for completing your new patient forms. All forms are completed securely through your CareStack Patient Portal before your appointment. Please also bring your dental benefits card and a current list of medications.

  2. First 15 minutes

    A conversation, not an exam

    We ask what brought you in, what has hurt, what you have been told before, and what you actually want out of your teeth.

  3. Next 45 minutes

    A complete set of records

    Digital x-rays, a 3D scan when indicated, photographs, a periodontal chart, a bite assessment, and an oral cancer screening.

  4. Last 30 minutes

    Findings on the screen, in plain English

    Your doctor walks through the images with you and ranks what they find: urgent, worth doing, and safe to watch.

  5. Before you leave

    A written plan and a real number

    You get the treatment sequence in writing with your dental benefits applied. Nothing is scheduled until you say so.

Dental anxiety is the most common reason people go a decade between visits. Tell us at booking and we will plan the appointment around it.

Before you book.

How long should I plan for my first appointment?

Around ninety minutes. That is longer than most offices, because we would rather gather complete records once than guess and revisit it later.

Will I get a cleaning at the first visit?

Usually, no. We gather a significant amount of information during your first visit and take time to thoroughly evaluate your oral health. Because of this, we often cannot also complete your hygiene cleaning within the 90-minute appointment. A separate hygiene appointment is often necessary so we can give both your exam and your cleaning the time and attention they deserve.

What should I bring?

Your dental benefits card, a photo ID, a list of medications, and the name of your previous dentist if you would like us to request records.

I have not been to a dentist in years. Is that a problem?

It is extremely common and it will not be commented on. We start with whatever is urgent and build the rest of the plan at whatever pace you are comfortable with.

Can my kids be seen at the same time?

Usually. With four doctors here we can often schedule a family back to back so it is one trip instead of three.
