DR. DAVID MARKIEWICZ
Dr. David Markiewicz grew up in Mundelein. He is excited to be caring for patients in his hometown!
EDUCATION
Dr. David is a graduate of Carmel High School right here in Mundelein. He graduated Suma cum laude from Loyola University Chicago before attending the University of Illinois College of Dentistry. His quest for more knowledge has lead him to prestigious dental institutes, like Spear, Pankey, and the IDEA academy, where he has accumulated over 500 hours of advanced dental education. He is currently working towards earning his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.
DENTAL INTERESTS
Dr. David enjoys all aspects of dentistry, he has special interests in cosmetic and comprehensive dentistry. He also has advanced training in airway focused dental care, which can help patients with issues like Sleep Apnea. Dr. David understands dental fears and anxieties and values the importance of ensuring each patient feels at ease during their visits. In 2020, he published a children’s book, “Dentists are Monsters” which is aimed to help prepare kids for their first dental visits. Dr. David is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and Seattle Study Club.
ON A PERSONAL NOTE…
Dr. David and his wife, Erica live in nearby Libertyville. They enjoy traveling, spending time with family, golf, and desserts. Together, they have a son, Nolan and cat, Gatsby – both of whom keep them smiling. When not at Markiewicz Dental, you’ll find David and his family trying to get up to Minocqua, Wisconsin, where they like to relax in the Northwoods.
